2021 - 2022 Book Theme

Inspired by a mantra written for her third-grade students, Jasmyn Wright’s uplifting call to “push through” is an invitation to young readers to announce their own power and to recognize and reaffirm that of others, regardless of setbacks. Her empowering words not only lift children up, but show them how to lift themselves up and seize their potential.

Mission Statement

My mission, as part of the grade six team, is to provide a fun and engaging learning environment that is created through a Catholic lens, and to continually learn from and grow with my students and colleagues in our life-long learning journey.

I Believe...

  • All students should have the opportunity to express their talents and achieve success through a supportive and all-inclusive learning environment.

  • Learning is a lifelong skill that all individuals can participate in.

  • As an educator, it is my responsibility to provide students with each and every opportunity possible in order to achieve success.

  • I am called to be a Catholic role model for my students and to guide and encourage them to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.

St. John Bosco Vision & Mission Statements

Our Vision:

"Inspiring passionate minds": Our goal is to provide a Catholic educational environment in which each child can grow and develop to his or her fullest potential. This can be achieved and enhanced by home, school and parish working together in a collaborative partnership. Within our Catholic Christian context, we can prepare children for the future, for the rights and responsibilities of citizenship and for daily life in our rapidly changing world.

Our Mission:

In order to prepare our students to live in and contribute to a changing world and engage in active faith-filled, lifelong learning; St. John Bosco School provides an interactive and collaborative inquiry based learning environment that promotes higher level critical thinking utilizing real-world tools.

School Motto

Our school motto, "Celebrating God and Youth", expresses how we celebrate God and youth each and everyday. At St. John Bosco School, we maintain high standards of academics and discipline in a nurturing, inclusive and faith-based environment; ensuring that all of our actions are permeated in faith, love and forgiveness towards building hope in all.
