My Role

I am thrilled to be returning to St. John Bosco to teach grade 6 for the 2020 - 2021 school year. My role is to support my students in their overall growth and development throughout the year and to help them to achieve success both in and out of the classroom.

Educational Background

I am a graduate of Louis St. Laurent High School. Upon graduating, I went on to pursue a Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of Alberta, with a minor in mathematical sciences. In the near future, I plan to complete a Masters of Education Degree in order to continue my professional growth as a teacher.

Teaching/Work Experiences

My passion for teaching has stemmed from a variety of experiences that I have been a part of throughout my life. After graduating high school, I took on the role of a tap/jazz teacher at the dance studio that I grew up at. I taught competitive dance for four years, which is what sparked my love for teaching. During the summers, I worked as a camp counselor at the YMCA, programming activities for young children. Throughout these years, I have been able to learn from many students and staff who have enabled me to grow as an educator both personally and professionally.

Life Outside of School

Outside of school, I am an avid lover of dance. Growing up, I studied jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and contemporary. I am continuing my passion for dance as a part of a competitive tap group this year. I also enjoy knitting, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.

In May 2020, I brought home my puppy Louie, an Australian Labradoodle. These days, he is the center of all of my attention! I love spending time with him, whether it is going to the dog park, walking around the neighbourhood, learning new tricks, or playing tug-of-war in the backyard!
